Sisu Auto’s core business is the production and the sales of
civilian and military SISU trucks. Sisu Auto’s factory in Karjaa
manufactures high-power, multi-axle, factory ready SISU trucks and
special vehicles for demanding driving conditions.
Sisu Defence Oy, which is part of the Sisu Auto Group, is a pioneer
in the manufacture of logistics systems and protected SISU off-road
trucks with excellent off-road mobility.
The demand for effectively protected vehicles is increasing
especially for use by international stand-by troops and in
peacekeeping operations, where the light-weight yet effective
protection of troops, equipment and vehicles plays an important
role
Sisu Auto’s turnover is about 100 million euros and staff 150
persons. Sisu Auto’s owner is Suomen Autoteollisuus Oy, which in
turn is owned by a group of Finnish investors and the company’s
operative management. Sisu Auto’s CEO of Sisu Auto is Mr Olof
Elenius and the company board is chaired by Mr Rolf Saxberg.

SISU – the Market Leader in the Most
Robust Truck Class
SISU is the market leader in Finland in the heaviest four and
five-axle truck class and the third largest trademark in Finland in
trucks of over 16-ton gross vehicle load class. Every second gravel
truck and every third timber truck is a SISU.
The annual output of Sisu Auto is about 400 vehicles. Sisu trucks
are over 65 percent Finnish and they have received the Finnish mark
of origin.
